It is the customer’s responsibility to check their tickets. Secondary School Student Discount Vouchers are strictly non-transferable and may only be used once. JDC will not accept responsibility for any errors on bookings.
7. The Ice Rink will operate in almost all weather conditions, other than high winds. Occasionally, inclement weather can disrupt ice skating sessions. JDC reserves the right to refuse entry to the Ice Rink for any customer under this age requirement. Please note, whilst a limited number of skate aids will be available to support and encourage young skaters, small children can sometimes be a little nervous skating for the first time. We therefore strongly suggest viewing the Ice Rink before purchasing a ticket for a small child; once the child has placed boots on and stepped on to the Ice Rink, refunds will not be available.
17. Wheelchair access: the Ice Rink welcomes wheelchair users providing they are accompanied by a carer. The Ice Rink does not and is not obliged to provide a carer, nor has the staffing capacity to provide a carer. In this case, the customer will be provided with skates from the Skate Exchange onsite.
20. In the event any session is cancelled or curtailed, ticket holders will be offered alternative sessions (subject to availability) if less than 30 minutes of ice-skating time has taken, or will take, place during that session.

JDC's Jersey on Ice FAQ's

TICKETING FAQ’s

Where can I purchase a ticket?

Tickets can be purchased through this website or in person at the Ice Rink. Tickets can be bought on the day at the rink if available, however, we recommend purchasing tickets in advance to avoid disappointment and for updates to ensure the Ice Rink is open. All tickets are non-refundable.

Will I get sent a hard copy of my ticket?

We do not provide or send out hard copies of your ticket. Your booking confirmation will have all of your ticket information on your e-ticket, this is all that you will require to gain entry to the event.

What does the time on my ticket signify?

The time on your ticket is the time that your skate session commences. To ensure you enjoy your full hour of skating, please arrive 20 minutes prior to the session time.

What if I’ve made a mistake whilst booking my ticket?

Please visit the ticket desk in person at the Weighbridge. We regret no refunds are available.

Can I buy tickets on the day?

Yes, you can buy tickets on the day either online or at the rink, subject to availability.

What if I have booked and arrive late?

Please arrive on time to ensure you have the full session time. Skaters may be allowed on part way through, but the session finishes at the same time for everyone and you will therefore not be able to extend your time on the ice – it is important to arrive early!

How long are the ice skating sessions?

Sessions are one hour long. We advise arriving 20 minutes in advance to ensure you have enough time to prepare for your session. The session ends at the same time for everyone so don’t be late otherwise you’ll have less time to enjoy being on the ice!

Are there age restrictions?

Children under the age of 3 are not permitted on the ice. Children aged between 3 – 10 yrs must be accompanied by an adult on the ice. A maximum of 4 children under 10 yrs to one adult skating and supervising is permitted. Children aged 10-13 yrs may skate without a guardian on the Ice Rink but must be supervised from the viewing area. Children must not be carried on the ice.

Is there a viewing area for non skaters?

Yes, but please note this is not heated, so you’ll need to wrap up warm. You can enter the site and watch your friends or family skate without needing a ticket. You’ll only need a ticket if you’re going on the ice.

SKATES & SKATE AIDS FAQs

Do you have any skate aids for children?

We stock a limited amount of skate aids that can be used by children aged 3-10yrs to sit on or skate with to aid balance whilst on the ice. Numbers for each session are restricted and allocated on a first-come first-served basis. Please note that skate aids are only available for under 10yrs. They cannot be pre-booked.

Do I need to rent skates?

Skate rental is included in the price of an ice-skating ticket. You will exchange your own shoes as a deposit for a pair of skates for the duration of your session. Please wear thick socks and ensure your skates fit correctly before taking to the ice. Please note, we are not liable for any loss, damage, replacement or theft of shoes left in exchange for skates.

What size skates are available?

We carry a wide variety of sizes. Our friendly skate staff will happily exchange your skates at any time, to ensure that you have a pair of skates that you are comfortable with. We strongly recommend that all skaters wear thick socks. For very small children we also carry some over shoe bob skates with two blades per skate for more stability. If for any reason the size of skate you require is not zavailable, we reserve the right to ask if you can wait for the next session.

Can I bring my own skates?

You are welcome to bring your own skates, however there is no reduction in ticket price if you choose to do so. Please note we are not responsible for your skates, shoes or property.

Can wheelchair users go on the ice?

Yes, we welcome manual wheelchairs on the ice. You must have someone on the ice with you at all times. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate powered wheelchairs on the ice. For any other accessibility/disability requirements please get in touch. A maximum of 3 wheelchair users can be accommodated on the ice at any one time, but please get in touch before booking if your group will have more than 3 wheelchair users, so we can make necessary arrangements.

How busy will it be on the ice?

During the week before Christmas, we expect the Ice Rink to be very busy. If you’re nervous about skating or would just prefer a quieter ice rink, we recommend coming during a weekday in the daytime or in the earlier sessions on weekends.

Do you provide helmets?

We don’t provide helmets or other safety equipment, including kneepads and elbow pads but you are welcome to bring your own.
